Short Getaway: Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya

My husband decided to go for a short vacation for my birthday. He allowed me to choose the destination. At first, he was suggesting Bukit Tinggi. I spent quite some time researching about this place, but I was not really attracted to visit it.

I was thinking of a place not far from our home. I chose Putrajaya. I was looking for something unique and special for our short stay this time. When I searched for hotels in Putrajaya through Trivago, it suggested many hotels and Pulse Grande Hotel attracted my attention. The price was affordable to us, Alhamdullilah. We booked the hotel for RM265.00 per night inclusive of breakfast for two, and complimentary breakfast for our little girl who is currently 22 months young.

We checked-in, paid RM100 as a refundable deposit and were informed that our room would be ready in 20-30 minutes time. The friendly staff at the check-in counter suggested us to visit the Kids Room located near  to the swimming pools while waiting for the room to be ready. We left our luggage nearby the check-in area and went to the Kids Room.

The Kids Room was not too spacious but just nice for 4-5 children to play at once. Our young girl enjoyed playing in the room. We spent about 15 minutes there and went back to the check-in counter. Once we arrived, the staff informed us that our room was ready and handed to us the room access card. We were so happy and just could not wait to enter our room! It was only 1.30pm, we checked-in a little bit earlier without no further charge.

Its room 335, at level 3, the same level where the swimming pools are located. We were amazed by the bathroom. That was the first thing I explored. The bathroom was very spacious, with one bath tub, wet and dry areas and the unique doors next to the bath tub (when we open it, we can see our whole room). Very unique and exclusive. There were complimentary tooth brushes and other toiletries, they’re complete.

We love the bath tub. Can see the window there?

The room's also spacious. There's a huge cabinet, with two bathrobe, two room sandals, some hangers, a few drawers, a praying mat, a basket to put your shoes (with complimentary polish service), a huge laundry bag and a security machine. There's a LCD tv attached to the wall with various tv channels. I did not explore the tv channels as much as my hubby because I was busy relaxing in the bath tub with my little one. There're also sliding doors. Outside was hill view, lot of green and relaxing but the hotel only provided 1 chair at the balcony. The bed was so comfy with four large pillows. The hotel also provided baby cot for our baby girl. The writing table was also nice and big enough for us. There were complimentary drinks available on the fridge counter, 3 pax of nescafe, 2 pax of tea and 2 pax of green tea. There're some cookies, chocolates and crackers available at the mini bar priced at RM8.00 each. There're a medium sized cattle, 4 glasses, 2 mugs and 2 pieces of small spoons. We didn’t open the small fridge to see whats inside.

This comfy bed!

We took some time to explore how this stuff work.

This hotel used a modern type of electricity switch. We spent some time to learn how it worked. As we were resting in the bed, our room bell rang. We were served with some complimentary fruits. That was simple but enough to make us feel happy and welcomed.

After Asar prayers, we were all ready to go to the swimming pools. It was about 5.15 pm, the weather was still hot but we managed to find a nice spot to swim. The water was a bit salty and the pool was very convenient and nice. I really liked the chairs around the infinity pool and the view. We spent most of the time in the larger pool as the kids’ pool is too shallow for our little girl who likes to swim. The hotel provided floats for kids and there are 2 or 3 lifeguards watching at us.

We love the swimming pool. The water tasted a bit salty.

We had dinner at the hotel room. We ordered some food through Food Panda. After dinner, we made some time to walk around the hotel. And then we were all tired and did not know when actually we fell asleep.

We really looked forward to the breakfast. We arrived at the café at 7.30am, we were amongst the earliest. There were numerous food for us to choose. I enjoyed the sandwich. I had 4 of it. I tried the fried noodle and rice, porridge, scramble eggs, fruits, yogurt, drinks, kuih, sausages and many more. I was satisfied with the food and really hoped I could spend more time at the café. But at the same time, we have to rush because we had to check-out at 12pm and there was another place to go which was the pool! That was our last round at the pool. We spent only 30 minutes in the pool as the weather was getting hotter. We went back to our room and our little girl enjoyed her bath tub again.

We love the garden inside the hotel, the plant arrangement and a small river are nice. The staff was also friendly and helpful. We had a nice and memorable moments while at the hotel. Thank you Pulse Grande Hotel Putrajaya for the memory!
